Brown Property Group’s connection to Cranbourne North and Melbourne’s south east spans more than two decades.

Our history in the area includes The Avenue at Casey, a 900-lot residential community delivered alongside The Avenue Village Shopping Centre, as well as Golden Grove in Narre Warren South, a 213-lot community located just 300 metres from Cranbourne Golf Club.

In Cranbourne, we later transformed the former Amstel Golf Course into Canopy at Amstel, a 600-lot community shaped by the site’s established landscape and character.

Today, Woodhaven marks the next chapter in that history, bringing Brown Property Group back to Cranbourne North with the experience and local understanding gained from more than 20 years of creating communities across the area.

Building within an established community

One of Woodhaven’s greatest strengths is its location.

Rather than sitting at the outer edge of an emerging growth corridor, Woodhaven is located at 750 Glasscocks Road within established Cranbourne North. Schools, shopping, cafés, transport connections, parks and everyday services are already part of the surrounding community.

It means our approach to Woodhaven isn’t simply about creating something new. It’s about considering how a new neighbourhood can become part of an existing one.

Designing around what is already there

The existing landscape has played an important role in shaping the Woodhaven masterplan.

More than 12 hectares of landscaped open space, wetlands and green corridors will weave throughout the community, connected by over four kilometres of walking and cycling trails.

Importantly, existing mature trees have been retained wherever possible, allowing the landscape already present on the site to become part of Woodhaven’s identity from the beginning. Parks, playgrounds and a planned dog reserve will provide further opportunities for residents to spend time outdoors and connect with their community.

It reflects a principle that has informed many Brown Property Group communities: great places should respond to their surroundings, rather than simply replace them.

More than six decades of creating communities

Brown Property Group has been developing communities across Victoria for more than 60 years.

During that time, the way people live, work and move through our cities has changed enormously. But the fundamentals of creating a great community remain remarkably consistent.

Thoughtful planning. Connectivity. Access to open space. Housing choice. And creating places where people genuinely want to put down roots.

Woodhaven represents the next evolution of that approach and an exciting new chapter for Brown Property Group in Melbourne’s south east.

We’re pleased to see that story recently featured by iBuildNew and look forward to sharing much more as Woodhaven continues to take shape.
